Operators

The operator provides the radio network. We join the APNs into one customer network.

We do not run a mobile network, we do not issue SIMs as an operator, and we are not the operator of Starlink or of fiber. The partner we name is Play. Orange, T-Mobile and Plus appear here as networks whose private APN can be brought to the same firewall — not as our partners.

Play

The network we usually start a SIM and APN design from. The partnership is a commercial relationship, not a claim that we are Play’s network.

Orange, T-Mobile, Plus

When a site or a policy needs another network. Each gets its own APN and its own tunnel. The names are the operators’ names, not a list of partnership contracts.

More than one at once

Part of the fleet on one network, the rest on another, or two SIMs in one router. Addressing meets at your edge.

One network failing is not the whole fleet failing

A Peplink router with several SIMs (on the models we consider, that can be two slots and an eSIM, or two modems) moves to the SIM of a network that is still carrying traffic. At headquarters the tunnels stay separate, so policy does not depend on a single concentrator at one operator.

SpeedFusion bonds WAN links — satellite, 5G, LTE, and fiber where it exists — into one tunnel. Packets of a single session can cross those links at once. The manufacturer describes Hot Failover as moving traffic to a working link without dropping the active session. InControl 2 is for viewing and configuring the routers. We do not claim Peplink partner status.
